General Harrison R. Thyng Memorial
July 17, 2004 NHAHS took part in the General Harrison R. Thyng Memorial on Saturday, July 17, 2004. We hade photos of Harry Attwood landing there in 1911 for Old Home Week. Rand Peck, NHAHS member coordinated a fly-over with vintage aircraft including Stearmen and a Huskey. F-16 Jet Fighters flew over the Thyng memorial at 2:00 p.m. to honor his decorated military career as an ace pilot in both World War II and Korea. |
