Homebuilt Aircraft Fly-In - Saturday, July 8, 2017

The Aviation Museum of New Hampshire announces its 3rd annual Homebuilt Aircraft Fly-In at the museum to be held Saturday, July 8, 2017. Pilots may fly-in 9:00AM – 2:00PM. Open to the public until 4:00 PM. Join us for this exciting event! Thank you to our event sponsor, Signature Flight Support.

Fly-in your homebuilt aircraft to the Aviation Museum of NH, Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, or visit the museum to see a wide variety of homebuilt aircraft on display!  All are welcome to attend this unique family friendly event. Homebuilt/Experimental pilots flying in receive free admission. All planes welcome.

Experimental Amateur-Built Aircraft, often called "homebuilt" aircraft, have existed as long as powered flight. Instead of relying on a factory for construction, homebuilts rely on superior craftsmanship and handwork, and are typically built in garages or basements. According to the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), homebuilts are the fastest growing segment of new aircraft in the United States, with tens of thousands flying throughout the world. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certifies these aircraft as "experimental amater-built" (E-AB).

A variety of homebuilt aircraft will be on display. A People's Choice Award and Kid's Choice Award will be presented during the event. There will be activities throughout the day, including demonstrations. Activities for children include a build your own wing rib project. Coffee and pasteries will be available in the morning, and hot dogs, hamburgers, and ice cream will be available in the afternoon.

Join us for this exciting, one-of-a-kind event, or fly-in to the Aviation Museum of NH, Manchester-Boston Regional Airport.
