Volunteer

We are seeking volunteers!

Based on your interests and availability a volunteer schedule will be developed. Volunteers who can work a minimum of one four hour shift a week for a total of sixteen hours a month are especially desirable, but we appreciate any time you can give us.

Aviation experience is not required. We will provide training and mentoring for all positions depending on need.

Positions are available in the following areas:

  • Docent - Greet visitors ,provide informative tours of the museum
  • Archivist - Access, catalog and preserve artifacts and documents
  • Educator - Originate, plan and conduct museum educational programs
  • Curator - Conduct research into and prepare documents on subjects of historical interest.
  • Gift Shop Sales - Conduct sales transactions and help maintain gift shop inventory
  • Admissions and Membership - Collect admission fees and promote museum memberships
  • Administration - Assist with the maintenance of museum records and correspondence.

Silent Movie Double Feature with Live Music - Friday, March 24, 2017

Jeff Rapsis will return to the museum by popular demand, after a recent sold out performance! Join us Friday March 24 for a silent film double feature to be screened with live musical accompaniment.  This "Dare-Devil Aviation Double Feature", will include two silent films to be shown back to back starting at 7 p.m. in the exhibit space of the museum. There will be a cash bar reception starting at 6 p.m. Tickets are $15 for museum members and $20 for non-members.  Seating is limited. Thank you to Hearthside Realty, Manchester, for sponsoring this event.

Aviation Education High School Course Open House - Wednesday, April 5, 2017

Are you interested in learning more about our FREE aviation education course offered to NH high school students? Exeter, Londonderry, and Manchester high schools offer a full credit for this exciting course. Join us Wednesday, April 5, 3-6 PM to learn more. The course instructor, students, and museum staff will give tours and provide information about the course. Free admission.

"Flight Night" Wine Tasting and Tapas - Thursday, April 13, 2017

Join us for a fun evening in support of the museum's aviation education programs! "Flight Night" will include a wine tasting presented by Zorvino's Vineyard, and tapas by Tidewater Catering. Tickets are $40. Attendees are eligible to win one of two door prizes - a sight seeing flight for two, or private wine tasting for up to 20 people!
