Volunteer

We are seeking volunteers!

Based on your interests and availability a volunteer schedule will be developed. Volunteers who can work a minimum of one four hour shift a week for a total of sixteen hours a month are especially desirable, but we appreciate any time you can give us.

Aviation experience is not required. We will provide training and mentoring for all positions depending on need.

Positions are available in the following areas:

  • Docent - Greet visitors ,provide informative tours of the museum
  • Archivist - Access, catalog and preserve artifacts and documents
  • Educator - Originate, plan and conduct museum educational programs
  • Curator - Conduct research into and prepare documents on subjects of historical interest.
  • Gift Shop Sales - Conduct sales transactions and help maintain gift shop inventory
  • Admissions and Membership - Collect admission fees and promote museum memberships
  • Administration - Assist with the maintenance of museum records and correspondence.

Trick or Treat at the Museum! - Saturday, October 28, 2017

Join us Saturday, October 28, at 10AM for trick or treating in the Aviation Museum of NH! There will be a story in the classroom read by Glenda the (not so scary) witch, followed by treats and coloring in our classroom.  Aviators throughout history will be handing out goodies as well as fun aviation facts throughout the museum.

"War and Wings: A selection of WWI and vintage aviation posters" November 3 - December 10, 2017

In commemoration of America's 100 year anniversary of entering WWI, the Aviation Museum of NH will have on display a collection of posters from the WWI era depicting war propaganda. There will also be a selection of vintage aviation posters on view, dating back to the WWI era. There will be programs in conjunction with this exhibition. More details to follow.
