Volunteer

We have immediate openings and are also seeking to increase our volunteer staff in anticipation of the expansion of the museum now underway.

Based on your interests and availability a volunteer schedule will be developed. Volunteers who can work a minimum of one four hour shift a week for a total of sixteen hours a month are especially desirable, but we appreciate any time you can give us.

Aviation experience is not required. We will provide training and mentoring for all positions depending on need.

Positions are available in the following areas:

  • Docent - Greet visitors ,provide informative tours of the museum
  • Archivist - Access, catalog and preserve artifacts and documents
  • Educator - Originate, plan and conduct museum educational programs
  • Curator - Conduct research into and prepare documents on subjects of historical interest.
  • Gift Shop Sales - Conduct sales transactions and help maintain gift shop inventory
  • Admissions and Membership - Collect admission fees and promote museum memberships
  • Administration - Assist with the maintenance of museum records and correspondence.

Latest News

The Aviation Museum of NH is pleased to announce a new, fully accredited, aviation class for Manchester High School juniors and seniors, starting in September of 2012. The class, based on a NASA program called Virtual Skies, will be held and taught at the museum.  The classroom has been setup with desks, donated by the FAA in Burlington, MA and outfitted with a “state of the art” projection system called Brightlink.  Read more...
