Saturdays at the Museum

Join us for these interesting and informative sessions which will take place at the museum beginning at 11 a.m on the dates listed below. Admission is free, but, due to limited accommodations reservations are strongly encouraged. Call the museum (603-669- 4820) and leave your name and the number in your party expecting to attend. January 16, 2010 Those Magnificent Men & Their Flying Machines – A humorous, romantic and somewhat factual movie about the worlds first international air race for the Gordon Bennett Trophy held at Reims, France in 1909. The movie’s many flying scenes feature replicas of many of the airplanes that competed in the race.
February 27, 2010 Angels in Flight - A Presentation by Dick Sundell, Director of Flight Operations , Angel Flight NE about Angel Flight, a non profit organization of pilots, volunteers and friends that arranges free air transportation for individuals and health care organizations with a medically related charitable need to fly people to medical facilities throughout the U.S.
March 20, 2010 Bob Fogg – A presentation by Aviation Museum of NH docent, Chuck Gerhan about the fascinating, Army aviator, flight instructor and barnstormer who is credited with many New Hampshire aviation firsts including: being its first airplane owner and establishing the first fixed base operation in the state and thereby bringing aviation to New Hampshire.
April 17, 2010 The Next Generation (NextGen) Air Traffic Control System, Its Promise and Problems. A presentation of interest to pilots and non pilots by Professor Greg Thibeault of the Daniel Webster College School of Air Traffic Control about the FAA’s plans for the successor to today’s air traffic control system.
May 15, 2010 Movie – “To Fly” – A film capturing the beauty and romance of flight.
June 19, 2010 Antique Airplane Fly-In and Quarterly Member Meeting – Concord Airport.

October 16, 2010 FAA Aviation Safety Seminar – Topic To Be Announced
November 20, 2010 Everything You Wanted to Know About Stealth Without Having to Be Shot - A presentation, including videos of actual ground and flight tests, by Museum Director and former F-22 design engineer Vinny Devino about what goes into the design of stealth aircraft in general and the development of the world’s only fifth generation fighter the F-22 Raptor.
