School Outreach Program
The Aviation Museum offers a School Outreach program, open to students of all ages. Let us bring our educational and fun programming to YOU!
The Outreach Program consists of a presentation, and a hands-on paper airplane building and flying activity. The program is typically 45 minutes to one hour. Topics include Forces & Motion/How Airplanes Fly, Careers in Aviation, Aviation History, and more. We can work with your curriculum and tailor our presentation.
We are happy to visit your school, or other venues such as libraries, community centers, and camps. We have experience presenting to ages preschool - high school (and beyond!). Our Logo
The Gee Bee Model A Sport Plane (pictured on our logo) was the first plane built by the Granville brothers of Madison, New Hampshire in Boston, Massachusetts. They built nine in Springfield, Massachusetts followed by a series of sportsters (monoplanes) and finally leading to the famous Gee Bee supersportster racers, one of which established a new world land-air speed record. It was flown by James Doolittle. Click here to read more about the Gee Bees.
